Thank you for reviewing the helpingstudents.org Wiki.

The main benefit for using the Wiki it is a secure Wiki and you must be a teacher to receive an account. I suppose there are pros and cons to all Wikis. Whatever you decide, I hope you will join us and share your Wiki experiences and resources with other teachers. Students may receive a username only when requested by a teacher member. You may want to also check out http://www.wikihow.com/Main-Page, wikispaces.com and pbwiki. In any event, I hope you will try the helpingstudents.org JSPWiki. It is a very powerful Wiki and also provides a WikiWizard editor.

Correct. While I can handle Wiki Markup Syntax with no problem, my 11 year-old student s would have a lot of trouble with it. Since I only have my students for 9 weeks, I can't afford to spend time teaching them a syntax language, I need a wiki solution for my kids to be as turnkey as possible. So yes, I do require (for my kids) a WYSIWYG/WYSIWYM editor.

Thanks for commenting!
