Ever lost your phone and you go to call it to listen for the ringer and remember its on silent mode? If your like me (or my wife) you do it all the time. Now when you lose it you can use another phone to text a special message that you can set and it will turn silent mode off and the ringer volume all the way up so you can here it ring. You can also get the GPS location of your phone in latitude and longitude and a link to Google maps so you can even get directions to it.

Lookout (www.mylookout.com) is a free software that you can install that will send a nice loud screaming siren to your phone. Regardless of whether or not your phone is on silent mode.
The other advantages to this app is that it backs up everything on your phone to their site where you can access it with your own login credentials. It will back up pictures, contacts, docs, and will keep a call history and depending on what phone/OS you have,… text history.
